“Langga, dugay ka pa?” Jake said in his caption, written in the Ilonggo dialect, which in loose English meant “Beloved, what’s taking you so long?”
He also added a hint of humor to the caption, saying that he’s been to a lot of places searching for his “langga” or “beloved.”
“Kung diin diin nako nakakadto sige hulat sa imo 😔,” the actor added, which in English mean “I’ve gone to many different places continuously waiting for you.”
Thousands of netizens, meanwhile, flocked to his post and supplied equally humorous replies to his caption.
“Langga ari lg ko di waiting simo, pero basi nag talang ka na sa sala nmn nga tawo da ha,” wrote one netizen which means “Beloved, I’m here waiting for you, but perhaps you lost your way and might fall into the wrong person again.”
“Dali lng gd gapamanyos pa ko,” another netizen said, which in English meant “One moment as I’m still rubbing myself,” referring to “manananggals” rubbing themself with oil in preparation for the separation of their upper body from their lower body allowing them to fly as Iloilo and Panay folklore is famous for.
“Coming browww. Nag taxi pa ko 600 bayad🤣🤣,” says another netizen.
“On the way nko, sorry nang shave pko bi langga hehe 😻,” yet another netizen replied, saying she’s on the way and was delayed because she first shaved.
“Langga , duol na ko asa mn ka ga hulat 😂😂😂🤭,” another netizen replied, this time in the Visayan language a dialect different from that of Ilonggo, which meant “Beloved, I’m almost there, where exactly are you waiting? 😂😂😂🤭”
“Langggaaaa jan kapa? Nd kajan mghalin2 sa natindugan muh ky adtunan tkaw, ga kalo2 paq d ka kapog ka gbi … sorry gd sa pahulat langga mwa lab u,” reads one comment, which in English basically meant “Beloved are you still there? Don’t you ever leave the place where you’re standing because I’ll be going to where you are. I’m still finishing up with frying some leftover rice from last night. Sorry I made you wait. I love you.”
“Uy lannga na lamokan nko d kahulat knimu . Gn tudluan tana kaw ka aragyan padtu d sa banglid pay,” says another netizen in the Karay-a language, a sub-dialect of the Ilonggo language, which means “Beloved, I’ve been bitten several times with mosquitoes while waiting for you. I already told you the way going here near the cliff.”
“Katalaka bala sa imo Langga! Hulat ka da kita mo nagpa hamot pa ako! Gadali kana GD haw?” quipped another netizen in the Ilonggo language, which in English means “I’m annoyed with you Beloved because you seem impatient. I’m still making myself fragrant for you. Why are you in a hurry?”
