It can be recalled that the movie is among the top ten finalists of the Metro Manila Film Festival.

While “And The Breadwinner Is” may have failed to win major awards during the MMFF Awards Night, it seems to be the runaway winner in terms of earnings.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, it quoted Star Cinema as saying that “And The Breadwinner Is,” as of January 14, has gross earnings of over P400 million in terms of box office sales.

“AND THE HIGH EARNER IS... ⭐ Star Cinema is delighted to share that its movie "And The Breadwinner Is" has earned over P400 million in Philippine box office as of January 14,” the ABS-CBN report said.
Star Cinema also said the movie, which also stars Gladys Reyes, Jhong Hilario, Eugene Domingo, Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, and Kokoy de Santos, among others, is still showing in various cinemas nationwide and worldwide.
“The film starring actor and host Vice Ganda is still showing in cinemas nationwide and worldwide,” ABS-CBN News stated.
Vice Ganda is a famous comedian, actor, endorser, and host in the Philippines. She is best known for hosting “It’s Showtime” and for her commercially successful movies in the MMFF. The superstar is currently in a relationship with Ion Perez. They got their Certificate of Commitment in a special ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Oct. 19, 2021.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda retweeted a video about a breadwinner which she said made her cry. Earlier, a Twitter user, Robi Leonardo, shared an emotional video of a surprise from his family. The video showed how his family expressed their love and appreciation for him. Vice Ganda retweeted the video, saying it made her cry as well. The 'Showtime' host praised breadwinners and highlighted their sacrifices for their loved ones.
About a week ago, Vice also shared a touching message for the director of the movie “And The Breadwinner Is.” It can be recalled that the said movie is a runaway hit in terms of box office sales. In her message, Vice thanked the director for making her “comeback a significant one.” She then said that the movie will always be very special and personal to her.
