Lolit Solis, in a recent post on Instagram, expressed her opinion on the ongoing noise between Vic Sotto and Director Darryl Yap.

It can be recalled that Bossing Vic yesterday, January 9, went to a Regional Trial Court branch in Muntinlupa City to file 19 counts of cyberlibel against Direk Darryl.
He also filed a Writ of Habeas Data, which is a petition to protect one’s privacy in life and security, against the director.
The veteran showbiz columnist said she can’t imagine how someone as calm and cool as Vic would be so angry to the point of filing a case against another.

“Salve hindi ko ma imagine na ang isang very cool at kalmanteng Vic Sotto ay magagalit ng ganuon katindi para mag file ng demanda,” Manay Lolit said.
“Talagang nasagad ang galit ni Vic Sotto kaya siguro nagawa niya ito,” she added.
Manay Lolit then said that Vic has daughters whom he know that could be affected by the brewing controversy surrounding the issue allegedly resurrected by Direk Darryl.
“Siyempre may mga babae din siya sa pamilya na alam niya na affected sa issue na binuksan ni Daryl Yap. At dapat lang proteksiyunan niya ang mga ito,” she said.
She also gave her take about the presence of Bossing Vic’s wife, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, during his filing of cases against the director.
“Dapat lang talaga na ipinakita ni Pauleen Luna ang suporta niya sa asawang si Vic sa mga ganitong pagkakataon,” the columnist said.
She also expressed her opinion regarding the alleged acts of Direk Darryl against personalities whom she called “mga respetadong artista.”
“Hindi mo talaga aakalain na magagawa ng isang Daryl Yap ang ganitong bagay sa mga respetadong artista tulad nila Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon at senator Tito Sotto. Iginagalang sila sa industriya, mga stars na tinitingala pero binalak hubaran at bigyan dungis ni Daryl Yap,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.
“Dapat lang talaga ang naging hakbang ni Vic sa ganitong pangyayari. Kung ingay ang hinanap ni Daryl nakuha niya ito pero in a way na hindi ko alam kung papabor sa kanya o sa project na ginawa niya. Ewan ko rin kung makakakuha ng suporta sa mga taga showbiz si Daryl Yap after this fiasco dahil mahal ng showbiz ang mga Sotto,” she further said.
“Alam ng lahat kung gaano ka polarized ang mga taga showbiz na parang isang malaking pamilya na very respected ang mga Sotto, mula kay Tito, Maru, Val at Vic Sotto,” the veteran showbiz columnist added.
She then expressed her good wishes to everyone involved in the issue.
“Sana nga ipagdasal na lang ng lahat na humupa ang galit ni Vic Sotto dahil talagang ang hirap pag isang tahimik na tao na tulad niya ang magalit. Parang bulkan na mahirap awatin. Hang on Pauleen, bantayan mo ang asawa mo na tahimik pero grabe kung magalit. Goodluck Daryl Yap, sana nga matulungan ka ng ingay na ito,” Manay Lolit concluded.
Vic Sotto is an iconic actor, comedian, and television host in the Philippines. He is best known for being the main host of 'Eat Bulaga' and for his blockbuster comedy movies. The actor is married to actress Pauleen Luna, and they have daughters named Tali and Thia.
Bossing Vic Sotto is seeking around P35 million against Direk Darryl Yap on 19 counts of cyberlibel cases filed against the latter. The cases stemmed from a Dec. 31, 2024 post of Yap where he mentioned an upcoming movie that features TVJ, which is an acronym for "Tito, Vic and Joey," as well as the subsequent releases of the teaser trailer of the movie TROPP. The teaser trailer mentioned the name of Vic Sotto, as a woman asks Pepsi Paloma about the occurrence of a crime. According to the counsel of the veteran actor and host, each malicious post represents one count of cyberlibel.
Meanwhile, Direk Darryl's repost of several photos of Vic Sotto arriving at the Muntinlupa City RTC to file a case against the director has gone viral. The post was originally made by News5, which Direk Darryl then reposted along with the caption “Pepsi goes back to court.” It can be recalled that Bossing Vic filed 19 counts of cyberlibel against Direk Darryl for the mention of his name in a teaser trailer of the director’s new movie about Pepsi Paloma. The Muntinlupa RTC has also ordered the director to answer within five days the “Eat Bulaga!” host’s petition for Write of Habeas Data.
