Five individuals have been charged by an Argentine court in connection with the death of former One Direction singer Liam Payne.

According to BBC News, the prosecutor charged the following with manslaughter; the hotel manager Gilda Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi, and Payne’s friend Roger Nores.

Additionally, hotel worker Ezequiel Pereyra and waiter Braian Paiz face charges for supplying drugs to Payne.

It can be remembered that Liam Payne died after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires.

Liam Payne, born in 1993, gained fame as part of the boy band One Direction. He first auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 and rejoined in 2010, forming the successful group. After the band went on hiatus in 2015, Payne started a solo career, releasing hit singles like "Strip That Down." His solo album LP1 came out in 2019, and he saw major success as a solo artist. Payne passed away in 2024 after a fall from a hotel in Buenos Aires.

Based on autopsy results, Payne's body had traces of substances such as alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant. The people charged in relation to Liam's death included a person who was believed to be really close to the singer, while the other two were a suspected drug dealer and a hotel employee.
