It is worth noting that the actresses' mom was rushed to the hospital recently. In an exclusive message sent to KAMI, Ara confirmed that the unfortunate occurrence was the reason why the "The Kingdon" star left the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal crying.

"DEC 28, 2024 I took this picture around 2:39 a.m. while we were in the ER. Our mom is in the hospital, which is why she left the MMFF Awards Night crying," Ara captioned.

To recall, the MMFF 2024 Awards Night took place on Friday, December 27, at the Solaire Grand Ballroom in Parañaque City.

Cristine Reyes is a popular actress in the Philippines. Her sister is veteran actress Ara Mina. She became known when she joined GMA-7’s reality TV program, StarStruck. On January 27, 2016, Cristine married Ali Khatibi in a private ceremony, and they have a daughter named Amarah. However, Cristine and Ali’s separation was confirmed in 2019. She is now dating actor Marco Gumabao.
