According to Nadia’s daughter, Ynna Asistio, her mom had an emergency heart procedure at the hospital after experiencing what she said was a close to a heart attack situation.
She also disclosed that her mom has a rare condition that she already had since birth.
“To everyone who prayed for my mom Nadia, thank you so much. She is now out of danger. Last week, she came very close to having a heart attack due to her Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, a rare condition she has had since birth,” Ynna said in her post on Facebook.

Nadia’s daughter further said that her mom’s condition worsened last week, necessitating for an emergency heart procedure.
“Her condition worsened last week, making it necessary to perform an urgent heart procedure,” she said.
Ynna also said that the procedure was successful, though shortly after, Nadia had a severe seizure that lasted two to three minutes, but doctors were able to immediately render aid and stabilize her.
“The procedure took place this morning and was successful. However, shortly after, she experienced a severe seizure lasting 2 to 3 minutes, which triggered a code blue in the hospital. Thankfully, she is now stable and recovering,” Ynna said in her Facebook post.
Nadia Montenegro is a Filipina actress who starred in several movies and teleseryes including; Playhouse, Maria Mercedes, Toda Max, and Dyesebel. The veteran actress is also the mother of Ynna Asistio.
Last September, Nadia celebrated actor Ricardo Cepeda's release from prison through an Instagram post. The actor has been released on bail after being jailed for 11 months due to his syndicated estafa case. In her IG post, Nadia happily expressed that “an innocent man is free.” She likewise penned a lengthy and heartfelt message for the actor, whom she called “brother.”
It can be recalled that Cepeda was finally released after being detained at the Cagayan Provincial Jail in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Valley. Nadia is among those who celebrate the actor’s release after posting bail. She even picked up the actor and his wife, Marina Benipayo, at the airport. On Instagram Stories, Nadia shared heartwarming glimpses of her reunion with the actor.
