Fans of the Aegis band expressed their heartbreak over the passing of Mercy Sunot, one of the lead vocalists of the band.
Mercy underwent a lung operation about two days prior to her death.
She still had the chance to make an appeal on video where she was asking for prayers so that she may be able to overcome the challenges.
In memory of the singer, fans posted past videos of her performances with the band, as well as those taken from her home or family gatherings.

In one of the videos, the fan said that it was taken only three weeks ago, prior to her death.
The video showed the singer singing really well on stage, without even flinching with the notes
In another video, Mercy was with her family, singing her heart out.
Mercy Sunot is one of the main vocalists of the Pinoy legendary rock band, Aegis. She is known for her vocal power and for singing powerful songs. Aegis is very popular for their songs “Halik,” “Basang-Basa Sa Ulan,” “Luha,” “Sinta,” and many more. The band was able to maintain their popularity in more than two decades in the industry with their songs becoming part of the lives of many generations of Pinoy music.
Last Saturday, Mercy herself gave an update about her condition. In a TikTok video, she tearfully recounted the trial she’s going through right now. She also gave details about the operation she recently underwent and how she’s feeling at the time.
Meanwhile in other news, Side A has issued a warning to its former vocalist, Joey Generoso, about the song “Forevermore.” According to Joey, he was warned by the song’s composer not to sing the said song in his gigs. Joey G is the original vocalist of Side A. For the part of Joey, he said he wanted to talk to the composer and clarify that he’s not angry when he received the warning.
