According to the authorities, they found a key lead on Sace's location when he posted on Facebook.
He shared a photo with a distinct hotel wall in the background, giving away his spot in the same city.
Police then sent undercover officers to the hotel, where they were able to arrest Sace.

John Wayne Sace started as a child actor under ABS-CBN’s Star Magic and joined the popular ASAP boy group AnimE alongside stars like Rayver Cruz. Sace acted in several soap operas but stepped back from the spotlight in the 2010s. He returned in 2021 with a role in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. In 2016, Sace was injured in a shooting incident where his friend was killed. Both were reportedly on the police's drug watch list due to alleged involvement in illegal substance.
In a previous report by KAMI, John Wayne Sace gave a quick interview with some members of the press. The former child star was handcuffed and was seated on a bench when he was asked some questions by the media. He was saying, "Inikutan na ako," and also mentioned that the victim was allegedly going to his house almost every day. He also said that he did not know why the victim was doing it.
The Pasig Police arrested John Wayne Sace following a shooting incident involving a man named Eugenio. There was reportedly a long-standing conflict between Sace and Eugenio, which may have led to the crime. Before his arrest, Sace posted statements on social media expressing tension and concern for his family’s safety. Sace is currently at the Eastern Police District headquarters for a paraffin test while police continue to investigate the incident.
