Ryan Bang, in an interview for their 'Magpasikat' performance, opened up about the time he lost all hope about his now-divorced parents.

In the video, Vice Ganda could be seen asking Ryan if he's a "hopeful" person, "Ikaw, hopeful ka bang tao, anak? Naniniwala ka ba sa hope?"

According to Ryan, back in the day, he lost hope after his parents got a divorce when he was a kid.

"Ngayon, naniniwala ako sa hope. Pero nung bata ako, mommy, grabe... Nung grade 1 ako... yung magulang ko, lagi silang nag-aaway so pinag-pray ko na lang kay Lord, 'Lord, sana hindi po sila away today.' Nung grade 4, grade 5, sobrang away eh... wala eh, divorce. Hindi sinagot yung prayer ko kay God, nawala yung hope ko dun," Ryan recalled.

Vice eventually asked Ryan, "Kailan nabago yan? Kailan nanumbalik sayo yung pag-asa?"

In the interview, Ryan then answered, "First time nila ma-meet si Paola... Niyaya ko si mommy, dinner with daddy. Sobrang saya ko nakita ko si mommy [na] tumatawa sa joke ng daddy ko. Natupad yung hinihingi ko kay Lord na isang simpleng dinner."

Ryan Bang is a beloved actor, host, and endorser in the Philippines. He was one of the foreigners who joined a previous season of "Pinoy Big Brother," and he is a host on the noontime program "It’s Showtime." The Korean star is also a close friend of superstar comedian Vice Ganda.

As previously reported by KAMI, Ryan Bang, in his interview with Sandra Jung, talked about the projects he rejected. Apparently, Ryan was being offered tons of projects in Korea, but he rejected them. When asked why, Ryan said it was due to how the Philippines would be portrayed. According to the 'It's Showtime' host, "For me, hindi maganda kasi image."

Meanwhile, Ryan Bang proposed to his non-showbiz girlfriend, Paola Huyong, who joyfully accepted. The couple shared photos of the proposal on Instagram, capturing Paola's emotional "yes" and Ryan presenting the engagement ring. Paola was seen tearfully wearing the ring while Ryan embraced her.
