One Direction, an English-Irish boy band, was formed in 2010 with members Niall, Liam, Harry, Louis, and Zayn (who left in 2015). The group became one of the best-selling boy bands ever, releasing five hit albums and singles like "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Story of My Life." They toured globally and set records with their concerts. In 2016, the band went on an indefinite break, allowing each member to pursue solo careers. By 2020, One Direction had sold 70 million records and earned nearly 200 awards.
