Gerald Santos, after the hearing of the Senate committee on public information and mass media on Tuesday, August 27, penned an appreciation post dedicated to people to support him.
During the said hearing, Gerald finally revealed the name of the musical director who allegedly abused him when he was just 15.
In his latest post, the former Kapuso singer aired his heartfelt gratitude to those who sent encouraging and supportive messages to him.
“Attended the Senate Hearing for the 2nd time.. Gusto ko lang po magpasalamat sa lahat ng message of encouragement at support nyo sa akin.”

He went on to express, “Naaappreciate ko po ang lahat ng messages nyo sadyang hindi ko lang masagot sa dami.”
Gerald also opened up that naming the person who purportedly abused him gave him some relief.
“Ang luwag sa dibdib ko ngayon na aking pinangalanan na ang umabuso sa akin kanina sa Senado.. Unti unti ay nakakamit ko na ang hustisya at dadalin nanamin ito sa hukuman.”

Gerald Santos is a well-known singer, actor, and performer in the Philippines. His popularity began when he won the second season of the reality talent show "Pinoy Pop Superstar" in 2006.
Earlier, Geral expressed support for Sandro Muhlach. The singer also revealed that he once experienced a similar situation. Gerald hopes that Sandro will get the justice he never attained before.
Gerald emotionally spoke during the previous senate hearing investigating the cases of abuse in the entertainment industry. Santos claimed that he was abused by a former musical director of a television network. The alleged incident happened when the singer was only 15 years old. He said he opted to keep mum about it for 19 years because of fear.
