Gerald Santos, in a Facebook post, shared a couple of screenshots of his past letters to the GMA hierarchy.

According to the celebrity, he shared the screenshots in order for everyone to be clarified on the recent official statement of GMA.
He also said he had asked to be released from GMA because at the time, he believed the network did not have any plans for him.
“Para lang sa kalinawan matapos ang official statement ng gma...uulitin ko po na nagpaparelease ako sa gma artist center..bilang manager ko po that time ay tila wala na silang plano sa akin at walang mga projects na naka-line up para sa akin,” Gerald said.

In his post, he then shared his original letter to the GMA CEO, Atty. Felipe Gozon, and emphasized his enemy is not the network but some people inside GMA.
“Eto po ang bahagi ng orihinal na sulat ko sa ceo ng gma that time. Hindi po gma network ang kalaban ko kundi yung mga tao na galit sa akin sa loob ng gma dahil sa pagsusumbong ko at ayaw akong bigyan ng trabaho nung mga panahong yun,” the celebrity said.
He went on to explain that he went to TV5 because there is a work opportunity for him there, though required him to show his GMA release papers.
“Lumipat po ako sa tv5 dahil may trabahong naghihintay sakin dun at tatanggapin lamang nila ako kung may release papers,” he revealed.
Gerald then said that had GMA accommodated his request to be given work, he wouldn’t have left the network because he is a “Kapuso.”
As to the person he accused of séxüálly assaulting him while he was still under GMA, he said the network immediately removed him, which for the celebrity is enough proof there really is probable cause.
“Pero kung sinagot po nila ang aking kahilingan na mabigyan ng trabaho ay hindi po ako aalis dahil sa simula at simula ay isa akong kapuso,” he said.
“The fact na tinanggal nila.ang aking inakusahan ay nangangahulugang may probable cause. Pero wala kmi natanggap na official reply mula sa kanila kaya after one year ay sumulat ang manager ko sa kanila,” Gerald concluded in his Facebook post caption.
Gerald Santos is a well-known singer, actor, and performer in the Philippines. His popularity began when he won the second season of the reality talent show "Pinoy Pop Superstar" in 2006.
Recently, Gerald emotionally spoke during the senate hearing investigating the cases of séxüál abuse in the entertainment industry. Santos claimed that he was séxüálly assaulted by a former musical director of a television network. The alleged incident happened when the singer was only 15 years old. He said he opted to keep mum about it for 19 years because of fear.
In a statement, Gerald talked about a thick-faced someone that he said he wouldn't name anymore. In the video where he made the statement, he said he wanted to talk in order to raise awareness among new artists. He said he wanted to share his dark experience in the past so others would learn.
