Senate detains one of the alleged abusers of Sandro Muhlach

- The Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media revealed that it cited Jojo Nones for contempt

- Jojo is one of the independent contractors of GMA Network who was accused as one of those who allegedly abused Sandro Muhlach

- He was cited in contempt during the hearing; and where he was reported to have repeatedly denied allegations that they offered money to a charitable institution because of what they allegedly did to Sandro

- Sen. Jinggoy Estrada made the motion, and it was approved by Sen. Robin Padilla

The Senate has already detained one of the two GMA contractors involved in the case of Sandro Muhlach, as per GMA News.

During the Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media hearing on Monday, Jojo Nones was cited for contempt.

The motion to cite one of the alleged abusers of the son of Niño Muhlach was filed by Sen. Jinggoy Estrada.

It was approved by the chair panel, Sen. Robin Padilla.

According to Estrada, Jojo repeatedly denied that they offered to give money to a charitable institution because of having allegedly abused Sandro Muhlach.

However, it was allegedly in the affidavit of Atty. Annette Gozon that they actually offered money.

According to GMA, he was also repeatedly denying the allegations that they told Sandro to use illegal substances.

Sandro Muhlach, whose full name is Allessandro Martinno M. Muhlach, is the eldest son of veteran actor and former child star Niño Muhlach. He started as a theatre actor when he was 13 years old and he is now a Kapuso artist.

As previously reported by KAMI, Niño Muhlach had faced the two GMA independent contractors who allegedly abused his eldest son, Sandro. The former child star talked about his meeting with the two in an ambush interview with the media. According to a video posted by ABS-CBN News, Niño said the supposed abusers apologized to him.

Meanwhile, the two independent contractors who are involved in the Sandro Muhlach issue have claimed "absolute denial." As per their attorney, Maggie Abraham-Garduque, there is an "absolute denial" about the situation. In a video that was posted by ABS-CBN, Garduque also gave an update on her clients.
