Sandro at Niño Muhlach, pormal nang nagsampa ng kaso sa DOJ

Sandro Muhlach and his dad, Niño Muhlach, appeared before the Department of Justice on Monday, August 19.

They finally filed a formal complaint of rape through sexual assault, according to a report by ABS-CBN News.

The complaint is against GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.

In an interview with reporters, Niño shared how filing the case gave him some relief.

“Parang nakaluwang-luwang sa dibdib dahil umabot na tayo sa araw na ito,” said the former child star.

“Ambigat kasi nakikita mo ‘yung anak mo araw-araw na nagsa-suffer, ‘di makakain, ‘di makatulog,” he added.

Sandro Muhlach, whose full name is Allessandro Martinno M. Muhlach, is the eldest son of veteran actor and former child star Niño Muhlach. He started as a theatre actor when he was 13 years old and he is now a Kapuso artist.

Niño Muhlach shared an optimistic social media post dedicated to Sandro Muhlach. In his post, Niño uploaded a photo of a Philippine Daily Inquirer news article. The article says that the senators see “strong evidence” against the two GMA independent contractors who allegedly abused Sandro. The celebrity dad then urged his eldest son to be strong because “better days are coming.” The veteran actor also put a hashtag that reads, “#justiceforsandromuhlach.”

It can be recalled that Sandro has filed a formal complaint against two individuals before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). According to a “24 Oras” report, the Sparkle artist was accompanied by his dad, Niño Muhlach. The NBI opted not to disclose the names of the subjects of the complaint and said the father and son requested for “privacy” on the case. An earlier statement by GMA published named Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz as those involved in the alleged abuse of the Sparkle artist.
