Bahay ni Kuya, the iconic house that accommodates all PBB housemates, was not spared from the widespread flooding in Metro Manila caused by the heavy downpour of typhoon Carina.
In a video shared by a netizen with the handle @wwwwwmeo on TikTok, one can see water seeping into the bedroom of PBB housemates.
As one housemate paced the length of the bedroom, one can see what looked like almost-ankle deep waters in one area of the bedroom splashing as he walked.
The PBB housemates can also be heard talking and wondering why there’s water in the bedroom, with one of them saying that it’s floodwater.

Many parts of Metro Manila today suffered worst case flooding, with some barangays experiencing floodwaters reaching up to the roofs of several houses.
According to authorities, the floodwaters were brought about by the massive downpour caused by typhoon Carina.
News, photos or videos that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people.
In a related news, ABS-CBN reported about one of the first casualties of typhoon Carina, which caused almost the entire Metro Manila submerged in floodwaters. One of its first casualties was a man who was swept away by the flood. According to a witness, he saw the victim around four in the morning standing on a small bridge in Barangay Valencia in Quezon City. It was around five in the morning when the waters on the creek suddenly rose. At that point, the witness wasn’t able to see the victim anymore.
In Bulacan, the floodwaters beneath the Marilao Bridge reached the roofs of houses. A video provided by Sen. Joel Villanueva, and shared by Nimfa Ravelo of DZBB and also of GMA Integrated News, showed that only the heads of the people on the road could be seen rising above the floodwaters. Some had to swim just to get across from one house to another.
