Iñigo Pascual, the ex-boyfriend of Maris Racal, has shared his thoughts on the breakup of the actress and the Rivermaya band member, Rico Blanco.

The actor expressed his thoughts during the launch of his trilogy songs.

He said that he actually saw the interview and that he felt for her, understanding that it was tough.

He then stated that Maris was getting to know herself, that she's choosing herself and that he is very proud of her.

"I saw it, actually watched it. I feel for her. I know it's tough," Iñigo stated.

"But I see it in a good light," he added.

"She's getting to know herself. She's choosing herself. That's something I'm very proud of her," he further said.

He also said that he was happy for his ex, for choosing herself.

"I'm happy for her for choosing herself, to be strong for herself...Hindi madali 'yun," he noted.

"Minsan, you get blinded by the things you want, the things you're comfortable with. Like me, going to the States, I feel like it's a parallel situation," he said.

"It's not the ideal move for me, but when you learn about yourself, it's a big step."

Mariestella "Maris" Cañedo Racal, or Maris Racal, is a Filipina actress, singer-songwriter, host, vlogger, and endorser. She became prominent in 2014 after joining "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" where she placed second. She is now in a relationship with Rico Blanco, the singer, and they have also been sharing photos and videos of their sweet moments on social media.

The actress promoted her latest movie, "Marupok AF." She posted beautiful photos, which certainly elicited a lot of good comments from netizens. Maris has just recently revealed that she and Rico have broken up during a Star Cinema presscon.

Earlier, Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings won an award in the Golden Laurel awards. The actress and her loveteam won, "Breakthrough Love Team" award. It was Direk Rowell Santiago who perhaps was the first one to congratulate Maris and Anthony and posted his congratulations on his IG account. Their loveteam is known as "Mathon" and it simply won the hearts of viewers.
