- Yitzhak Cohen’s remains will be brought by his brother home to Israel

- The Israeli, along with his girlfriend Geneva Lopez, were both slain and buried in a quarry site in Capas, Tarlac

- It can be recalled that last June 21, the two informed their loved ones they were going to meet somebody but were not heard from since then and last July 6, their lifeless bodies were discovered by authorities in the said quarry site

- According to a report by ABS-CBN, Yitzhak’s remains will first be brought to a funeral home in Pasay City before it is flown back to Israel

Yitzhak Cohen’s remains have been taken out of the funeral parlor in Tarlac City and will be brought to the Rizal Funeral Homes in Pasay City.

According to an ABS-CBN report, the remains at Rizal Funeral before it is loaded on a plane and brought home to Israel where he will be buried.

Though it wasn’t clear if Yitzhak is a Jew, most of Israelis living in Israel were Jews.

Jewish laws oppose cremation and for more than a thousand years, has always observed a traditional Jewish burial, which should be done as quickly as possible, for a Jewish individual.

ABS-CBN shared the video of the moment the body was taken out of the mortuary in Tarlac City and loaded onto a van to be taken to Pasay City.

The brother of Yitzhak was on hand to receive the body of his kin.

It can be recalled that Yitzhak and her Filipina girlfriend, beauty queen Geneva Lopez, went missing last June 21, the day they’re supposed to meet with some individuals regarding a real estate property.

Last July 6, Saturday, their lifeless bodies were discovered by authorities buried in a quarry site in a faraway barangay in Capas, Tarlac.

Autopsy results show the two perished after being shot. Each of their bodies bore two gunshot wounds each.

Suspected perpetrators were already in the custody of authorities, with two of them recently presented by the PNP and DILG in a joint press conference today, July 8.

Geneva Lopez was a 27-year-old model and beauty queen who was reported missing on June 21, 2024. She was with her boyfriend, 37-year-old Israeli national, Yitzhak Cohen. The two were last seen in Tarlac. On July 6, police authorities say they have found the decomposing bodies of the couple in a quarry site in a faraway barangay in Capas, Tarlac.

Recently, in a joint press conference by the PNP and CIDG, Maj. Gen. Leo Francisco, the chief of CIDG, revealed the possible motive behind the killing of Geneva and Yitzhak. According to Gen. Francisco, one of the ex-policeman who is now in their custody allegedly pawned a lot to Geneva Lopez. He also stated that the time came when Geneva already allegedly wanted to take possession of the lot, which was why she and Yitzhak went to visit the property. During the press conference, Francisco also stated that the ex-policeman, one of the suspects, told Geneva that he had a buyer, and that all of them would be meeting together.

Recently, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) revealed the results of the autopsy on the bodies of Geneva Lopez and Yitzhak Cohen. According to the agency, as per the report of GMA News, each of the victims sustained two gunshot wounds. The beauty queen had a wound at the back of the torso, which exited on her chest, and one on the thigh. Her boyfriend had a gunshot wound on the chest and one near the armpit.
