Carla Abellana gives latest update on split with Tom Rodriguez

Former celebrity couple and Kapuso stars Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez are officially divorced.

Carla shared that their marriage is over during Boy Abunda’s interview with her on Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”

“We are divorced, recognized na po 'yan ng korte, local court po natin dito.”

In the same interview, Carla also shared the lessons she learned from her failed marriage to the actor.

“Of course relationships are so important, family is important, marriage is important, it's sacred pa nga po. Pero 'pag hindi na po tama or too much already, hindi na po dapat ipilit pa.”

“Hindi naman po sa sinasabi ko na 'yung mga mag-asawa na hindi po okay ay dapat maghiwalay na. If you know there things that already are too painful or hindi na po maayos or ma-resolve, dapat hindi na po siya pinipilit.”

She then underscored, “Because you might lose yourself, baka maging malala po. Kapag marami na pong ibang affected, hindi na po dapat.”

It can be recalled that Carla and Tom tied the knot in October 2021 but announced their split in 2022.

Carla Abellana is an actress and endorser who works for GMA. She used to be married to fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez. Before entering showbiz, she graduated with honors from De La Salle University with a degree in psychology.

Carla Abellana reacted to netizens' observation about her and Bea Alonzo. During Nelson Canlas' interview with Carla for 24 Oras' GMA Integrated News Interviews, the reporter said he saw on the internet some remarks saying that the two 'Widows' War' lead actresses are "separated." As per Carla, she found the said observation funny and stated, "What are the odds?"

Carla recently revealed she has a 35-degree scoliosis, discovered during a chiropractor visit. The actress experienced backaches and waist asymmetry for years without knowing the cause. Emphasizing early detection, she shared a method for checking scoliosis during Scoliosis Awareness Month. The Kapuso star aims to raise awareness and help others identify scoliosis early.
