Maki’s appreciation post for BINI and its member, Maloi Ricalde, made the rounds on social media.
After performing again with the P-pop girl group, Maki reposted on Instagram Stories a photo of himself with Maloi captured in 2023.
“This was when Maloi and I became friends!” he wrote about the photo. “She taught me the dance steps of I Feel Good para di ako magkalat sa stage HAHAHA we also talked about our careers, dreams, and such.”
The OPM singer-songwriter went on to talk about his and Maloi’s conversation when they were doing the music video for his single, “Dilaw.”

“Fast forward again, sa Dilaw mv shoot, I remember me and @bini maloi, talked about how everything just went into place and for some reason all the dreams we talked about, are now happening. Suddenly we both started crying, bc looking back, all we had was a dream and a huge amount of love from (blooms n zushis) and now we’re here.”
He ended his post by sharing how proud they are of each other’s achievements.
“We were just so proud of each other’s achievements and I’m happy I got to see and witness their success!!”
BINI is an all-girl Pinoy pop group formed by ABS-CBN Star Hunt Academy. Their members consist of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena. In November of 2020, BINI released their pre-debut single, “Da Coconut Nut.”
