Stell reveals inspiring story behind viral “All By Myself” performance

Stell Ajero, in a recent interview, revealed behind-the-scenes events that led to his amazing rendition of the song “All By Myself.”

It can be recalled that the video of Stell’s performance has surfaced online and has since then gone viral.

The viral video, which has already reached over one million views with 71K reacts and 4.7K comments as of this writing, prompted many people to write their praises for the stellar singing ability of Stell.

During his interview, the singer-songwriter admitted he still can’t believe what has happened, particularly so that the said performance wasn’t planned.

“Medyo nagugulat pa rin po ako kasi to be honest... hindi po siya planado yung performance na yun with Sir Davidj,” Stell said.

He then narrated that during rehearsals earlier, Mr. Foster asked him to try singing “All By Myself” and when done, the famous singer-composer asked Stell if he would like to perform it that night.

“Bigla na lang pagsampa kanina during rehearsal, pina-try nya po yung song, and then sabi niya, kung gusto ko daw pong i-perform tonight,” the SB19 main vocalist said.

Stell then admitted that he still can’t believe what has happened, though added that he is thankful and happy with the result.

“‘Tas hanggang sa yun po natuloy ho yung performance medyo until now di pa rin po ako makapaniwala sa mga nangyari. Always thankful naman po and happy sa naging resulta,” Stell said.

Stellvester Quitales Ajero, more popularly known as Stell, is a Pinoy singer, songwriter, dancer, and choreographer. A member of the famous boy band SB19, Stell is known for his wide vocal range and dancing skills. He was born June 16, 1995 in Manila was formerly a member of the dance group known as SE-EON before he joined SB19 and became the band’s main vocalist.

The performance of Stell of the song "All By Myself" has been met with many praises. He performed it during the concert of David Foster at the Araneta Coliseum. The whole Araneta Coliseum burst into cheers after successfully belting out the hard piece. He was the opening act for the concert but was requested to sing the iconic song during the concert.

Meanwhile, in an earlier post on Instagram, Stell became one of the subjects of a friendly banter from his "The Voice" co-judge, Chito Miranda. In a post, Chito wrote he was taken aback on seeing the conversation inside what he called “pinakawalang kwentang chatroom.” In his post, he shared a screengrab of what appeared to be a ‘Viber’ “group chat” or “GC.” The Parokya Ni Edgar frontman then wrote his own reply at the bottom of the said convo, expressing his feelings about the said “chatroom.” While Chito did not say whose “GC” it was or who were its members, it appeared to be comprised of his fellow “The Voice” judges.
