The trending video of an alleged Coco Martin lookalike in the province of Cebu was admitted by its creators as fake.
In an update on their own page, the creators posted several screenshots of the video they uploaded along with the label "Made with AI" on top of the videos.
It can be recalled that the video of a man from Argao, province of Cebu, caught the attention of hundreds of thousands of netizens as his facial features closely matched that of popular actor and director, Coco Martin.
However, eagle-eyed netizens immediately spotted similarities between the video of the said lookalike and another video of the same group of men.

Netizens pointed out that the man in the other video, who was wearing the same green jersey and has the same tattoos as the person in the Coco Martin lookalike video, looked very much different from the actor.
Some netizens also pointed out that the posted video bore the tag “made with AI,” meaning the video was manipulated before its posting.
The people behind the page where the trending video was uploaded, however, did not reveal the name of the app they used to manipulate the video.
Posts, such as photos or videos, that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people. The billboard example is one of those that could truly tickle the fancy of many.
