Teresa Loyzaga, in a no-holds-barred interview over “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, revealed that it was she who sent her son, Diego Loyzaga to a drug rehabilitation facility several years ago.

Early on in the interview with Tito Boy, the veteran actress said she and her son went through a dark chapter in their lives when her son got hooked on illegal substances.

She even admitted that there were times she blamed herself for her son losing his way and getting hooked on vices.

The veteran actress said she felt like she was at some point negligent in some of her obligations as a mother.

“I wasn’t always there, even if I try to be always be there. I just couldn’t,” she said during the interview.

Despite the seemingly insurmountable challenges, Teresa said she was able to confront the situation and deal with it in the best way she could.

“Yun ang sitwasyon namin so I dealt with it, the best way I could,” the veteran actress said.

She then said she asked permission from Diego before her interview with Tito Boy that she’s going to say what happened in the past and that she’s the one who put him into a drug rehab facility.

“To be honest, my son was here and I did ask him, I’m gonna be speaking about it, with his permission,” Teresa said.
“I think what the people do not know is I put him to rehab. I put him to rehab. There’s a part of me that died, but I wanted my son to live, so I had to put him to rehab,” she revealed.

The actress also revealed that Diego became very angry when he was brought to the facility. She said they weren’t together for a very long time.

“He wasn’t himself then,” the veteran actress said.

In the end, the action of Teresa in entering Diego in a rehab facility proved to be the right choice as he completely recovered and became sober.

In the same interview, Teresa admitted feeling regret over what happened in the past to her son, Diego Loyzaga. She revealed that years ago, her son lost his way and got hooked on some substances. She then expressed her opinion on what could have caused such a thing to happen. The veteran actress then told Tito Boy how she dealt with the problem.

In May of this year, the veteran actress took to social media to greet her beloved son on his birthday. It can be recalled that Diego turned 29 years old last May 21 of this year. On Instagram Stories, the veteran actress shared throwback photos of the actor. Along with the pics, Teresa put a sticker with the words “Happy Birthday.”
