Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo are currently making headlines due to the actress' announcement on Father's Day.

On her Instagram page, the actress confirmed that she is pregnant with her and Zanjoe's first child.

She also penned an affectionate greeting for her husband on his "first" Father's Day celebration.

"To the dad you already are and the dad I know you'll be. Love you @onlyzanjoemarudo, so excited for this new chapter with you. Happy first Father's Day!" she wrote along with a couple of beach photos of them, one of which shows her flaunting her baby bump.

However, one basher took to the comments section and claimed that the actress previously denied her pregnancy.

Ria did not let it pass and responded to the basher, stressing that they never denied anything.

"We never denied anything, Madam. We just didn't think we owed anyone an announcement."

Furthermore, the soon-to-be mom calmly added, "Thank you for the support po."

Ria Atayde is a Filipina actress and the daughter of veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez and businessman Art Atayde. She began her showbiz career with Ningning, a TV drama series, and variety noontime show It's Showtime. Ria is the younger sister of actor-politician Arjo Atayde.
