Rica Peralejo, in a recent post on her Instagram account and after getting her PRP shots, shared her reflections on being a mother to small kids.
She said that after getting her shots for her legs, her doctor wanted to write her a medical certificate about needing assistance while onboard a plane.
Nevertheless, the motivational speaker and former actress felt the need to do some tasks, especially when it comes to the needs of her kids, that no one else can perform except mothers.
“Yesterday my doctor wanted to write me a medical cert stating I need to be assisted in my flight because I just had my PRP shots for my legs. They can’t be exhausted as the healing commences,” Rica wrote.

“But by night time I must have gone up and down the stairs 50 times already and logged more than 9000 steps merely by packing and running around to get last minute stuff for our trip,” she added.
“Manu cannot not have his floatie, Philip might forget his Crocs. Do they have enough briefs? Should I take or leave the fins? It is inevitable, no one else can do it but Mama,” the motivational speaker said.
Rica then pointed out the fact that resting and recovering from an ailment are almost unknown to mothers as there are tasks only them can perform.
She also said that mothers do it, even if it sometimes hurts, because they choose to be mommies.
“Rest and recovery are almost unknown to mothers. Especially of small kids, I think. And like I said in the letter for moms which I wrote for Smart Parenting (parts incuded in carousel), there are so many things we cannot be just because we chose to mommy,” the former actress pointed out.
“And it hurts…we have to admit it hurts my heart, my mind, and also often my literal body,” she added.
She then said that before the month of mothers end, Rica hopes moms would read what she wrote and realize that they’re not alone in their individual ordeals.
“Before mother’s month ends read what I wrote for you mommies out there and have confidence in that we see, we know, we notice, we share the pains that perhaps nobody understands as comprehensivley as another sleepless mother,” the motivational speaker said.
She then quoted a paragraph from the article she wrote.
“This is the tension of our life’s work as a mother. Our bodies and hearts are broken, so we can let another live; our selves lost so another can be found, it is both beautiful and sad at once,“ Rica said in her post.
Rica Peralejo is an actress who used to be a cast member of “Ang TV.” The former actress is now married to a Christian pastor named Joseph Bonifacio. They have two children – Philip Nathaniel and Manu.
In a recent social media post, Rica revealed she received an unsolicited comment. On Threads, Rica said she posted a photo of herself in a swimsuit and said she liked her skin. However, one basher told her she was trying way too hard and asked her to just take care of her kids. This, in return, elicited a hilarious response from the former actress, saying she was a "patolera."
She also previously took to IG Stories and shared an unedited and raw photo of her. She then circled the area of her abdomen, indicating her desire to inspire others. The former actress said that she also has little pouches on her tummy. Rica also indicated that what matters to her is that she can move.
