Danica Sotto, in her latest online post, gave her fans and followers a much-needed health update after her recent cholecystectomy.

Previously, Danica revealed she bid goodbye to her gallbladder and said she underwent some surgery, which stunned some fans.

Following this post, Danica posted another health and life update following her surgery, explaining why she had the surgery.

According to Danica, it was due to chronic pain and gallstones, saying it was indeed super painful.

Despite the operation, Danica remains grateful for her family and friends and to their angels at home for taking good care of her and Luc.

"Feeling much better a week after cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery). They had to remove my GB due to chronic pain and gallstones. If you have experienced gallbladder pain, you know what I’m talking about. Sakit talaga siya diba?! Grateful for my family and friends for all the prayers and to our angels here at home. Extra effort sila since I cannot carry our baby Luc yet. We also made it to Mic’s game last Sat. Super happy we made it kahit medyo sore pa. Life is full of surprises but we can choose to be joyful in the midst of life’s challenges," she wrote.

Danica Sotto-Pingris is the daughter of popular actor-comedian and TV host Vic Sotto and veteran actress Dina Bonnevie. She was born on May 9, 1983, in Manila. Danica tied the knot with former basketball player Marc Pingris in 2007. Danica and Marc already have three children: Jean Michel, Anielle Micaela, and Jean-Luc.
