Pokwang posts sweet birthday greeting for daughter Ria Mae Subong

Pokwang’s firstborn, Ria Mae Subong, turns another year older and wiser. The comedienne has taken to social media to greet the birthday celebrant.

On Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 14, Pokwang shared a lovely snapshot of Ria Mae.

Pokwang also wished her daughter a happy birthday and reiterated her love for her eldest child.

“Happy birthday ate @maesubong, love you anak,” the Kapuso celebrity mom wrote.

Furthermore, Ria Mae received a heartfelt birthday greeting from her sister Malia’s IG page, @malia_tisayngmasa18, which is under Pokwang’s management.

The greeting contains a lovely photo of the sisters and a sweet on-screen caption.

“Happy birthday to my beautiful and very kind ate @maesubong, I love you,” the caption reads.

Marietta Subong, or Pokwang, is among the most well-loved comediennes in the industry. Her frank and motherly ways are always "patok" among Filipinos. She used to be with ABS-CBN but moved to GMA during the pandemic. Some of her popular movies are “Call Center,” “A Mother’s Story,” and “Edsa Woolworth.” She has two daughters, Mae and Malia. Her split with Lee O'Brian has caused a buzz on social media.

As previously reported by KAMI, Pokwang discussed a viral topic on her Instagram. On the photo-sharing app, Pokwang asked if it's the kid's responsibility to take care of their parents when they're older. For the Kapuso star, this is a no, saying it would be better if her kids lived their lives properly and took care of their own kids. Pokwang's opinion on the matter has caused a buzz on her social media.

Meanwhile, Pokwang and her daughters, Ria Mae and Malia, gave an in-depth tour of their enormous new house on their YouTube channel. They started with the outdoors, giving glimpses of their garage, garden, and the shrine for Mama Mary. Inside the house, Pokwang and company showed the living area, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, gym, walking closet, balcony, and bedrooms.
