“Hindi namin maitago ang aming kaligayahan sa balitang deported na si Lee O'Brian,” said Atty. Calinisan in a post on the social media platform ‘X’.

He then declared that the justice system in the Philippines truly works, and then expressed his gratitude to the BI.

“Tunay na umaandar ang hustisya sa Pilipinas. Nagpapasalamat kmi sa BI,” the famous lawyer said.

Atty. Calinisan then issued a warning to what he called womanizing and oppressive foreigners in the country, saying that the country looks after the welfare of its people.

Pokwang, or Marietta Subong in real life, is popularly known for her antics as comedienne, TV host, actress, and performer. Her talent gave her the chance to be part of several TV shows like Wowowee, Pilipinas win na Win, and Happy Yipee Yehey, where she acted as one of the hosts. She gave birth to Francine Malia O'Brian in Antipolo City way back in January of 2018.

In a recent interview over "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Pokwang gave her reaction to Lee O'Brian's deportation. The comedienne said that it was for the good of both of them. She added that it would also allow them both to provide better for Malia. Pokwang underscored that if Lee remains in the Philippines, he could not work, hence would not be able to support Malia.

It can be recalled that news about Lee's deportation created a stir on social media. According to the order of the BI, Lee was deported from the Philippines due to work permit violations. Pokwang filed a deportation case against O’Brian last year, alleging he worked without proper permits. The Bureau of Immigration ordered O’Brian's deportation in December after finding merit in Pokwang's complaint. O’Brian's appeal was denied, and he was deported on April 8, with his name now included in the BI’s blacklist.
