Sarah Lahbati's parents, Esther and Abdel Lahbati filed charges against Cristy Fermin and her two companions, Romel Chika and the other one in "Showbiz Now Na."

This was revealed by the veteran columnist herself on the March 13 episode of the show.

She said that they are the ones confirming that charges have been filed against them.

Cristy also said that the charges that were filed include "cyberlibel, harassment, defamation, and unjust vexation."

She also noted that she will not be divulging anything more about the case because their lawyers Atty. Ferdinand Topacio and Atty. Ralph Andrada are the ones who know the details of the case.

Sarah Lahbati, or Sarah Alzol Lahbati, is a Filipino-Moroccan actress and performer who gained popularity as one of the finalists in the 5th season of "StarStruck," a Philippine talent search show broadcasted on GMA Network. She was hailed as the StarStruck V's Ultimate Female Survivor. Sarah tied the knot with actor Richard Gutierrez in a lovely civil wedding ceremony on March 14, 2020.

Recently, Sarah's mom, Esther Lahbati, shared a photo of the actress' parents in front of the Department of Justice. The elder Lahbati posted the said photo on her Instagram account. She said that she was finally able to post the picture after a long while. The photo showed that Esther was together with her husband, Abdel Lahbati.

Meanwhile, in an interview with MJ Felipe, Sarah confirmed that she's now single and her estranged husband, Richard Gutierrez is likewise single. The revelation came after keeping silent for a long time about rumors saying she and Richard have already parted ways. She also mentioned they're co-parenting their kids, though she and Richard haven't yet talked to each other since parting ways.
