Robert Go, the twin brother of Ricardo Cepeda is now asking for help for the actor who is detained.

He created a GoFundMe account for the actor in order to help with the legal fees.

The twin of the actor explained that there are mounting legal fees saying that between February and June 2024, the actor has 23 scheduled hearings with each court appearance costing around $500.

“We come to you today with a heavy heart, bearing the latest update on Richard’s ongoing legal battle. The road ahead is fraught with challenges, and Richard needs your support now more than ever,” he said.

“With 23 hearings scheduled between February and June 2024, the financial burden is overwhelming. Each court appearance costs at least $500.00 (over P28,000), in addition to mounting attorney’s fees," he explained.

Ricardo Cepeda, whose real name is Richard Cesar Cepeda Go, is a Pinoy veteran actor who made a name for himself in Philippine TV and cinema. He is 57 years old, having been born on October 11, 1964 in Manila, Philippines. He is known for movies like “Una Kang Naging Akin” which was released in 2008, the 2009 movie Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit and the TV series, Ang Probinsyano. He is the ex-husband of actress Snooky Serna.

As reported earlier, Ricardo Cepeda, a well-known veteran actor in Philippine cinema, was arrested on October 7 on charges of syndicated estafa. The veteran actor was arrested around 11 in the morning, Saturday, in Caloocan City.

Previously, Ricardo’s stepson, Joshua de Sequera, has taken to social media to defend his stepfather. According to Sequera, his stepfather was merely a product endorser for a sales company. He also emphasized that Cepeda had no knowledge of or involvement in the investment scheme that the company offered.
