Nelson inquired how Tom would react if he encountered Carla at work, considering their shared professional environment. Tom responded calmly, expressing that it wouldn't be a significant issue for him, as both he and Carla have moved on with their lives.

In his statement, Tom conveyed his well-wishes for Carla, stating, "For me, honestly, I don't think it matters to me much. We have our own paths and our own lives now and I wish her well on hers."

This sentiment aligns with Carla Abellana's earlier statement in a separate interview with Nelson Canlas, where she expressed her comfort with the idea of encountering Tom and her willingness to maintain professionalism despite their history.

"I don't feel intimidated, scared, nervous. Wala namang ganoon. Of course artista siya, may obligation siya. He's a Kapuso," said the 37-year-old actress, who just renewed her contract with GMA Network.

Carla said: "Dadating naman talaga 'yung day na babalik siya sa trabaho. Hindi naman maiiwasan 'yan.

"I think naman OK lang. Ready naman ako. Hindi naman ako 'yung type na, 'Ay, ayoko' or avoidance or what.”
