Paulo Avelino has taken to X and responded to a netizen who commented that it was impossible for their upcoming rom-com series, "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" not to get pirated.

It all started with Kim Chiu, challenging Paulo to a TikTok dance.

Paulo then responded that he would only do so if not one pirated copy of their series would come out.

The netizen then replied to Paulo.

"Hahaha imposible yan @mepauloavelino"

This then elicited a response from Paulo, who somehow lectured the netizen, and elaborated on how pirate copies of their work affect not only their livelihood, but also those working behind the set.

"Bakit naman po imposible? Industriya po namin ang nalulugi sa pamimirata ng mga tv show o pelikula. Hindi lang po kabuhayan namin ang apektado kundi pati narin ang kabuhayan ng lahat ng taong nag ta-trabaho sa likod ng camera. Hindi niyo sila nakikita o kilala pero apektado rin sila.

Wag niyo pong gawing normal ang pamimirata ng mga palabas."

Recently, Paulo, along with his WWWSK co-star Kim Chiu, stirred a buzz on social media after the two traded a hilarious banter on the social media platform 'X'. In their exchange of messages, Kim talked about Paulo being funnier than her. This prompted Paulo to say that if he cracked his jokes on "It's Showtime," MTRCB would call them again.

Previously, Paulo also took to the social media platform 'X' to share his thoughts on his new role as Vice Chairman for the PH adaptation of "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim." The actor thanked everyone for the new project that he was given. He then emphasized that he was only chosen for the project because of the fans. The actor also said that he is hoping that he would be able to meet the fans' expectations.
