Liza Soberano, in a recent interview over the “Broad Ideas” podcast, said that “Filipinos always like to say we're so resilient when it comes to facing challenges and whatever.”

However, she indicated that in reality, “it's actually like we're just people pleasers.”

She then pointed out that Pinoys don’t like complaining or talking about their hardships because in her opinon everything needed to be happy and pleasand all the time, adding that it’s not the way the world works.

“We don't like complaining. We don't like talking about our hardships or anything,” the actress said.
“Everything has to be happy and pleasant at all times. And that's just not the way the world works,” she added.

The ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ co-star also said that Filipinos try their best to be happy all the time but she expressed opinion that it might just be a kind of façade in the Philippines.

“Obviously, we try our best to be happy at all times but in the Philippines I think it's kind of a facade sometimes like you don't want to talk about the bad, it just has to be perfect all the time,” Liza said.
