- Amid her speech, part of which was she thanked ABS-CBN for giving her freedom to choose what would make her happy, Kath became emotional with tears flowing down her face

Kathryn Bernardo became emotional as she was giving a speech during the contract signing ceremony with her home network, ABS-CBN.

It can be recalled there were talks that Kath will no longer be renewing her contract with the Kapamilya Network.

Today, the premier actress put an end to the said talks when she signed her contract of renewal with ABS-CBN.

She then gave a message to her bosses at ABS-CBN, people she has worked with, friends, family, and fans.

“Next to my fans, my fans, alam ko na naging mahirap din sa inyo especially last year, so many challenges, ang dami nating pinagdaanan pero nandito ako, andito kayo, kaya natin, kinaya and kakayanin,” Kath said, by now becoming very emotional.

“So don't worry about anything, don't worry about me,” the actress added.

“Andito pa rin ako and I will continue to make you proud and maraming salamat kasi kagaya nang sinabi ko kanina, inintindi niyo lahat ng mga kailangan kong gawin and mga naging desisyon namin bilang tao, hindi bilang artista,” she continued, tears starting to flow down her face.

“So 'yun yung pinakaregalo na mabibigay niyo sa akin so thank you for giving me that you know, freedom to choose, to choose, to choose what would make me happy,” Kathryn said.

She said that she will never leave the network until it will be able to rise again. Kath then said that there she is fulfilling the promise.

In her contract signing ceremony with ABS-CBN, Kath gave an emotional message to people she has worked with, her friends, and family. According to the actress, they are the very people who did not turn their backs on her when she was going through something. She also said that the year 2023 wasn't easy for her but because of what she went through, she was able to identify true friends whom she can really depend on.
