Robi Domingo, in a recent interview by premier broadcast journalist Karen, recounted what happened behind the scenes when he proposed to Maiqui Pineda.

The newlyweds were the featured guests of Karen for the latest episode of her vlog on YouTube.

During the interview, Karen asked maiqui if she was really surprised when Robi made his proposal.

“Nung nag-propose si Robi, nagulat ka ba don? Yung totoo?” Karen asked.

Maiqui admitted that it has crossed her mind that Robi might propose to her during their trip to Japan, though she didn’t exactly know when or where.

“I was thinking na baka he’ll propose that trip... pero I didn’t know when, didn’t know where, tapos sa Shibuya Crossing, I would never expected that,” Maiqui replied.

Robi then said that it was unexpected, though noted that Maiqui would dress really well even if they are just going to a convenience store.

“Unexpected talaga kasi every single day nakikita ko, ang linis ng kuko, tapos ang ganda ng outfit, everytime we go out. Sabi ko, ‘Pupunta lang naman tayo sa convenience store, ba’t ang ganda ng suot mo?” Robi said.

He then said when he made the proposal, he told Maiqui they’re just going out to have dinner with Kathryn, though in truth, he’s going to propose.

“Nung time na ’yon, sinabi ko, ‘Oh, may dinner lang tayo kasama si Kathryn.’ Wala siyang expectation, ganda rin ng bihis niya, du’n ko ginawa yung proposal, at du’n niya pinaka hindi ine-expect,” dagdag pa nito,” Robi added.

Robi Domingo is a Filipino VJ, actor, and host. He first gained fame as a Pinoy Big Brother contestant, ending up as the first runner-up of the reality competition series. The Kapamilya star used to be in a relationship with Gretchen Ho before getting into a relationship with Maiqui Pineda. He would at times take to IG and post updates on his love life and career.

Recently, Maiqui took to IG Stories and shared that they had a crazy week. She shared that since their wedding they have been very busy due to various events. Maiqui mentioned that there was also "biglaan" kind of work and non-stop cleaning of their new home. She was very happy that after all those, they would finally be able to have that date night.

Previously, she also shared an optimistic post. She posted a mirror selfie of herself flaunting her baby hair. As per Maiqui, she still loses a lot of hair, but she hopes her hair grows back. It is worth noting that Maiqui has recently been undergoing treatment for her autoimmune disease.
