Melai Cantiveros, a prominent figure in the local show business, recently revealed that her eldest daughter, Mela, was hospitalized this week.

On January 28, Sunday, Melai took to her Instagram page, @mrandmrsfrancisco, to upload a series of photos she recently took at the hospital.

In her online post, the actress-comedienne gave her fans and followers a much-needed "life update" about her daughter, Melai, who's confined.

According to Melai, her daughter, Mela, is already okay, thanking everyone for their well-wishes and prayers for Melai in her viral online post.

Melai, however, did not disclose why Mela had to be confined at the hospital in her online post.

"Life Update... (Gaya gaya lang ako sa caption ng ibang sosyal na posterer). Pero talagang thank you Lord ng marami at ok ang aming Ate Mela and thank you sa mga prayers niyo , thank you sa aming Doc De Castro and thank you sa mga nurses and doctors na nag-asikaso sa amin. Super Kamsamii sayo Lord at safe ang aming Ate Mela at sa pambayad, thank you Lord," she wrote.

Melai Cantiveros is a prominent showbiz personality in the Philippines. She became famous in 2009 after winning "Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up." She also won the first season of the Filipino version of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" in 2015.

On her Instagram page, @mrandmrsfrancisco, Melai posted snaps from their anniversary party. According to Melai, both she and Jason are celebrating 10 years of marriage. However, what earned praises was Melai and Jason's "simple and budgeted" celebration.

Meanwhile, Melai Cantiveros just made a bunch of netizens laugh with her interview with Luis Manzano. During the interview, Melai was asked about the highest and lowest points of her career. While answering, Melai accidentally called Luis 'Tito Boy' which stunned the latter. Melai then immediately apologized to Luis.
