Kris Bernal, inaming parehong masaya at mahirap ang maging ina: “It’s both beautiful and hard”

Kris Bernal, in a recent interview with Tito Boy Abunda over “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” admitted that being a mother is both fulfilling and hard.

This was the actress’ answer to Tito Boy’s question as to how she is as a first-time mom.

“I think it’s both beautiful and hard,” Kris said.

“Because I believe in acknowledging the highs and lows of pregnancy and post-partum. Sa totoo lang, nahihirapan talaga ako Tito Boy, hindi ko in-expect na ganu’n kahirap,” she added.

“I was enjoying my whole time being pregnant. Pero hindi ko alam na ang hirap pala kapag nanganak ka na,” the actress said.

Kris also revealed there are times she would forget eating, combing her hair, and taking a bath because she is busy taking care of her baby.

She also shared her experience when she delivered Baby Hailee.

“Grabe pala ang pain kapag Cesarean ka, ‘yung recovery mo ang tagal. So nahirapan din talaga ako,” the actress said.

Kris revealed that after she gave birth, she stopped doing all other activities like vlogging.

“Everything stopped talaga, I stopped vlogging, ‘yung social media ko wala ka nang halos makita, kasi nga nagbago talaga ‘yung mundo ko,” Kris said.

It can be recalled that Kris, who said she had a hard time with her pregnancy, delivered baby Lucca into this world via a CS-Section, on August 15, 2023.

Despite the hardship, however, Kris admitted that being with her baby is her “high.”

“Kahit mahirap, kahit walang tulog, alam mong nandiyan, may baby ka, blessed ka with a child, kasi not everyone naman nabe-blessed ng ganito, kaya very thankful talaga ako,” Kris said.

Recently, Kris delighted her followers on Instagram as she shared a series of photos. In the pictures, she is with her adorable daughter, Hailee Lucca. The actress is seen promoting a brand of co-sleeper, highlighting its benefits to her as a mother and to her baby. Many netizens commented on her post and likewise gushed over Hailee's cuteness.

In another Instagram post, Kris went on a fangirl mode over Heart Evangelista in an event both celebrities attended. In the caption on her post, Kris admitted waiting for the arrival of Heart at the entrance so she would be able to have her photo taken with the style icon. The actress also praised Heart for being down to earth and treating everyone regardless of status. Earlier, Kris also went fangirling over Jericho Rosales, then took a photo with him and uploaded it on social media.
