Ronald Carballo, in a recent post on Facebook, made some clarifications about his post earlier regarding the TF of Ian Veneracion.

He also apologized to the actor and said he regretted that Ian was inadvertently put in a bad light because of the post.

“I am so sorry to Ian. Sincerely, nagsu-sorry ako kung nailagay ko siya in a bad light. Kung nai-exposed ko ang dealings & demands ng kanyang RM na ikina-turn off ng ‘private company’ at ng Tarlac Festival,” he said in his post.
“Nagsu-sorry ako ng buong puso kay Ian kase nailagay ko sya sa alanganin. Sincerely, I regret that,” the entertainment writer and director said.

However, Carballo stood firm as regards the information he received, saying the facts as narrated to him was what he laid out in his previous post.

The entertainment writer also said he wouldn’t write something without making the facts very clear to the reader.

Carballo also lamented the acts of others whom he said rode on the issue at his expense, wondering whether or not they have read his entire post about Ian’s TF.

Carballo asked those who have been riding on the issue not to “sawsaw” without first reading the post in its entirety, adding that his credibility as a journalist is at stake.

“‘Wag makisawsaw ng hindi binasa ng buo ang isinulat ko. Hindi ako magsusulat ng hindi ko nilinaw ang facts. Credibility ko as a Journalist na iningatan ko ng 43 years ang nakataya dito,” he said.

Carballo then reveald that the private company who acted as “talent coordinator” requested that he take down his post about Ian’s TF.

However, he said he declined because he claimed the company itself said that the information provided him were true and besides, they allegedly gave him permission to write it.

“Remember, I asked you, If I can write it? Sabi nyo, ‘okey lang’,” the entertainment writer said.
“Nagpaalam ako beforehand na ipu-post ko. Sana sinabi nyong ‘Wag mo na lang isulat. Off the record na lang.’ Hindi ko sana isinulat,” he added, addressing the alleged company who acted as “talent coordinator.”
“Ang pinanghahawakan ko ay ang katotohanan. Ang totoong pangyayaring ikinuwento sa akin,” Carballo said.

Ian Veneracion is a popular actor who, even if already in his middle age, continue to attract hordes of fans. The actor started young in the showbiz industry.
