The mother of Fil-Am comedian Jo Koy was interviewed by TFC News Nevada and she addressed the negative comments about her son, following his performance at the Golden Globes.

"If you love somebody and you know they're hurt, it hurts me," she said.
"Kasi, kaya nga sabi, you endorse a lot of people, and when I try to endorse, I try my hardest na para ibigay ang kanilang gusto. And I know Joseph tried his best that night. So I am with my son no matter what," she added.

He also said that they were direct and self-explanatory. As for Michael, he said that the last thing Jo Koy needed to do was to explain himself to people who chose not to understand them.
