Hansen Nichols, a Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 contestant, has passed away. As per his past social media posts, the singer was diagnosed with cancer.

His PDA batchmate, Bugoy Drilon, is one of those grieving the death of his fellow singer.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Bugoy expressed how blessed he was to have Hansen in his life.
“Hansen, my core friend, my brother. I love you so much and I am so blessed to have you in my life. You are such a beautiful soul! Our bond is one of a kind - so special and I wouldn’t change it for the world!”
The “Paano Na Kaya” hitmaker went on to share how kind Hansen was, especially towards him.
“You always understand me you always think of people first more than yourself that everyone is always okay.”
“You always believed in me. You always believed that I will make it in the journey and career that I choose and that I always do my best.”
Bugoy continued, “You fought very well and your hardest and I am so proud of you!!! You did your best to stay with us. You are a great warrior! I miss you so much I miss your laugh, hugs and your wisdom! You are truly an inspiration.”
“I am happy that you are surrounded by love, up to your last breath. I am very proud of you and all your achievements. You have touched the lives of so many people including mine. And this is a testament of how beautiful you are as a person.”
“We will still conquer the world. I cannot wait for the people to hear the songs I made for you because I cannot wait to tell the world how beautiful you are and how much I love you.”
Furthermore, Bugoy expressed his heartfelt farewell message to his late best friend.
“This is not a goodbye because I will see you again in Heaven. You are always in my prayers and I will always think of you through all the memories we’ve shared.”
”Until then, I will miss you so much. My heart is pleased knowing that you are surrounded by love until your last breath.”
” I love you, Hansen, my best friend. You mean the world to me. See you on the other side.”
“Forever and always, Bugoy,” he added.
Along with his tribute, Bugoy also uploaded a photo and clips showing some of his heartwarming moments with Hansen.
Hansen was already a cancer survivor when he joined Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. However, cancer struck the singer again this past year.
Aside from Hansen, there were other known singers who died recently. Kokoi Baldo, The Voice Season 2 finalist and referred to by the media as Bob Marley of the Philippines, has died in a vehicular accident last December 8. The famous reggae artist was riding his motorcycle when the accident happened.
The Voice Kids contestant Yohance Buie has passed away at the age of 17. His talent management Virtual Playground announced the heartbreaking news last November 11.
