Recently, the celebrity mom shared on Threads her thoughts about the act of unfollowing people on social media. The actress said that unfollowing people is not a sign of immaturity. She highlighted that it is an act of agency especially if one unfollows the wrong people like abusers, gaslighters, etc. Rica also added that unfollowing is an empowering practice, which says, "You cannot do this to me anymore."

She also took to IG Stories and addressed a comment that she saw online. The netizen was saying that Rica "stooped down" to a certain level. The former actress said that while she could not have answered, the Christian in her could not just accept the mindset that "disqualifies the existence of another." For the actress, canceling a group of persons is different from saying that while one does not agree with them, they are still loved by God.
