Direk Lauren Dyogi recently took to Instagram to share a personal update regarding his health.

In a lengthy post, the renowned director revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19, which is also the reason behind his absence at various significant events, including Robi Domingo's wedding to Maiqui Pineda.

In his heartfelt post, Direk Lauren opened up about the challenging start to the new year.

He expressed the significance of marking this moment as a strong reminder to prioritize his health in 2024.

"Didn’t want to start the year with this post of my having Covid since last Friday, but am marking this as a strong reminder to prioritize my health this 2024. Specially after losing two high school batchmates within a span of 3 weeks this December and January. My SJLC batch 79/83 is grieving. With a hectic and stressful last quarter schedule in 2023, I guess my aging body is now forcing me to slowdown and rest. Good thing am the only one in our home who got the virus. The isolation is not that bad as I get time to introspect, watch some shows and take lots of rest. My only regret was not being able to attend Robi & Maiqui’s wedding yesterday. Likewise, I missed out on Zeppi & Vier’s wedding in Cebu due to a crazy December schedule. Apologies to my new inaanaks. Promise to catch up with you this January. Wishing you a blissful marital life! @iamrobidomingo @maiquip_ @zeppi_borromeo," he wrote.
