She went on to star in the lead role for the Filipino adaptation of the Mexican telenovela 'Maria Mercedes' which catapulted her into stardom. She is married to actor and television host, Luis Manzano, the son of showbiz legends Vilma Santos and Edu Manzano. Luis and Jessy already have a child named Isabella Rose or Baby Peanut.
