Jun Urbano, more popularly known as the country's "Mr. Shooli," has passed away on December 2, at the age of 84.

This was confirmed by his family, and as per the report of ABS-CBN, the cause of his death was an abdominal aortic an3urysm.

The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) also posted about his passing on its official FB page.

Mr. Shooli was awarded with the FAMAS Dr. Jose R. Perez Memorial this year.

Aside from being an actor and a director, he was also an advertising creative.

Rappler reported that he is known for the movies Vontes V, Juan Tamad at Mr. Shooli: Mongolian Barbecue, and M.O.N.A.Y .

People loved him for his wit and humor and for his show "Mongolian Barbecue."

In October this year, he was awarded the Gawad Plaridel by the University of the Philippines’ (UP), and the said award is considered as the highest given.

A number of celebrities and popular social media personalities have passed this year. The recent ones include Sammy Manese and the Kalokalike of actress Angel Locsin. Young star Yzabel Ablan, and also Korean star Nahee likewise passed on.

Social media personality Sammy Manese has passed away on November 29. A family member and his best friend confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media. However, they did not disclose the reason behind the internet star’s demise. In his vlogs, it was mentioned that Sammy had a heart disease.
