An investigation by the CIDG has revealed that Catherine Camilon, the Miss Grand PH candidate who disappeared on Oct. 12, 2023, was allegedly abused by her lover.

The lover, as per TV Patrol's report and the statement of PCol Jacinto Malinao, was Major Allan De Castro.
According to Malinao, they were able to derive that from the text messages between the beauty queen and her friend.
"Sa exchange of messages between Cath at ng kaibigan niya, minsan ay nasaktan itong si Catherine at pangalawa, medyo ikinagalit yata na nagsumbong itong si Catherine sa asawa ng suspek natin itong si Major Allan De Castro na sinabihan ng biktima na may babae ito."

Miss Grand Philippines contestant Catherine Camilon has been reported missing since October 12. Her sister Chin-Chin Camilon took to Facebook to ask for help in finding the beauty queen-teacher. Chin-Chin also shared an image showing details about her missing sibling, sharing that she is 26 years old, with a height of 5’6.” She then uploaded an image of Catherine’s vehicle and its plate number.
Her sister, Chin-Chin Camilon, expressed her great concern and love for the missing beauty queen and teacher. Chin-Chin also wrote a message to Catherine telling her to come home and surprise their mom, who is celebrating her birthday today. The sister shared last Friday that many people are extremely worried about Catherine since it is unusual for her not to message her family about her whereabouts.
