Team Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ion Perez, itinanghal na Magpasikat 2023 champion

The amazing team of Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu and Ion Perez emerged as the Magpasikat 2023 grand champion.

The result was announced by ABS-CBN’s Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes on Saturday’s episode of “It’s Showtime.”

To recall, the said trio dubbed Team JKI had a “buwis-buhay” and tear-jerker performance last Friday, which immediately trended all over social media.

On the other hand, Team Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid and Ryan Bang was named second place while Team Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz was announced third place.

The three respective teams won Php 300,000, Php 200,000 and Php 100,000 cash prizes while the runners-up — Team Vice Ganda, Jackie Gonzaga and Cianne Dominguez; and Team Karylle, Amy Perez, Lassy and MC — received Php 50,000, respectively. The cash prizes will be donated to their chosen charities.

Kim Chiu is a Filipina-Chinese actress and television host. She broke through in showbiz after becoming a winner in Pinoy Big Brother. She was born on April 19, 1990, in Cebu City to Chinese businessman William Chiu and Louella Yap. Kim is also known as the “Chinita Princess” and was once hailed as the “Princess of Philippine Movies and TV.” She is in a relationship with actor Xian Lim who is already a Kapuso.

Kim Chiu, Jhong Hilario and Ion Perez created a huge buzz because of their commendable Magpasikat performance on “It’s Showtime.” Some moments after the performance, Kim’s sister Lakam Chiu took to Instagram Stories and congratulated the said team for the jaw-dropping and tear-jerker performance. Lakam also revealed that she went emotional while watching the three’s entry.

The message of Kim Chiu regarding the wise use of cellphones and social media has also gone viral. She said hurtful words can affect the hearts and minds of other people.
