Iza Calzado, madamdaming message kay Deia, usap-usapan: “Here you are now, showing us your strength”

- She then said that looking at Deia now, they can see her strength and her undeniable light, saying that she hopes that wherever life takes Deia, she will always find the inner superhero in her

Iza Calzado penned an emotional message for Deia on the first-ever Halloween celebration of her little one.

In her lengthy message for her daughter, she revealed that Darna was not actually her top pick for Deia, but remembered that when she first did the photoshoot for Darna, the previous year, it was also the very first time that she heard Deia's heartbeat.

"Halloween 2023 — I wasn’t sure if we were going to dress you up but I felt it would be memorable for your first Halloween. Darna was not at the top of my list. My first option, Amihan, would be too bulky for your age, others were hard to source out. Then the designers said they could make the Zora / Darna costume and I knew it was meant to be."

"You see, when we did my photoshoot for Darna (the TV series) last year, it was also the first day your daddy and I heard your heartbeat. This check up with the doctor officially confirmed you had joined us from the cosmos! I still remember how Daddy and I cried when we listened to your strong heartbeat."

Iza then underscored that Deia was already showing her and Ben, her strength and light.

She also hoped that wherever life would take Deia, she will always find her inner superhero, her inner Darna.

"Here you are now, showing us your strength and your undeniable light. I hope that wherever life takes you, you can always find your inner Superhero, your inner Darna, to propel you forward."

Iza Calzado is a Filipino actress, producer, model, and television host. She is popularly known for films such as The Echo (2008), Ang Panday 2 (2011), and Bliss (2017), among many others. Over the years, she has proven to be a dominant force in the entertainment scene. She started her career in GMA-7 but signed a contract with ABS-CBN in 2012. She is married to Ben Wintle and they have a daughter Deia Amihan.
