"The things that has been thrown at you?" asked MJ Marfori.
"Really, I really believe that the Lord prepared me for this, because I grew up in public scrutiny. I saw my parents always talked about, I read about my parents or my titos, or my family all the time on the papaers...Bashing is not new to us at all. This is not new to me. We all know what they have said about my father in the past. So I thank God that I am unbothered," Lala answered.

Several days ago, the MTRCB also released a statement regarding its decision to slap a 12-day suspension on the noontime show, “It’s Showtime.” According to the MTRCB statement, Chairperson Lala did not participate in the voting process so the board could render an impartial decision. The regulatory body also assured the public that they will remain fair and just as regards their decision.

Previously, MTRCB Chair Lala also granted showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz an interview. One of the topics they discussed during the interview is the supposed video clip of Lala’s parents, Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, on “E.A.T.” She clarified that even if they’re her parents and they are connected to “E.A.T.,” she would require them to obey rules and policies by the MTRCB. She also explained to Ogie the process of how MTRCB checks and decides complaints regarding shows alleged to be in violation of the regulatory body’s rules.
