Baby Enriquez, the wife of Mike Enriquez, granted an interview with Jessica Soho, who asked about Mike's final moments.

It was done during the wake of the broadcaster at Christ the King Church at Greenmedows in Quezon City.

Baby was emotional and said she could not even begin to think what it would be like to come home without her husband.

Jessica asked whether Mike fought until the end, to which Baby answered in the affirmative.

"Pero lumaban siya?" asked Jessica.

"Of course. Yes, Yes, up to the end," said Baby.

The wife's consolation was Mike was able to rest since he already had so many "holes."

"Ang tagal. Kaya nga ang nagiging consolation ko na lang ngayon kahit it’s very sad, kasi he's been through a lot, his body na was full of ano na, e, holes."

She then described the tubes that were inserted on Mike's neck.

Baby also narrated how she received the text message, which told her that her husband was already being resuscitated.

"I was on the way na to the hospital, siguro mga one o’clock, and then suddenly the caregiver texted me na, 'Ma'am, Sir Mike is being resuscitated already.'"

Mike Enriquez, or Miguel Castro Enriquez in real life, was a multi-awarded Pinoy television and radio newscaster. He was the president of GMA Network’s regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and was also the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM. Mike was also a regular anchor on 24 Oras with Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales. Many remembered him to be a very down to earth kind of person. He was well-loved and very much respected by his colleagues in the industry from both GMA and ABS-CBN.

In an interview with GMA recently, Jessica looked back on the career of Mike Enriquez. She revealed that he just loved radio as a medium so much. While she was the one who played a role in getting Mike to do TV broadcasting, he never entirely left the radio. She was in tears as she spoke the words and recalled the life of Mike.

On Sunday, September 3, 2023, Mike was finally laid at his resting place at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City. It was an emotional moment for his family and friends. During the funeral procession, his favorite songs like "Africa" and "You've Got a Friend in Me," were played.
