This prompted Jolina Magdangal, one of the hosts of the show, to say that Christian appeared to have “ghosted” Jennica, and that the phenomenon had existed long before.

It all began when Jolina asked what happened to Jennica’s and Christian’s friendship since 2016, at which Jennica laughed out loud.

“I’d like to think na close tayo noon or nag-assume lang ba ako?” a laughing Jennica asked Christian.

“Close tayo nun,” Christian said, and it was at this point that Jennica let loose an explosive revelation.

“Kaya lang bigla ka lumayo sa akin,” Jennica revealed, shocking both the hosts and the show’s audience.

“Let me explain, let me explain,” a laughing Christian said.

"Ayusin mo ‘yung explanation. So tama nga close na nga tayo noon ‘di ba tapos bigla kang lumayo,” Jennica reiterated.

He then said that he stayed away because at the time, he learned something.

“Paano ko ba i-eexplain sarili ko… Hindi ‘yun paglayo. Pagrespeto? Gusto kong i-lugar ‘yung sarili ko that time. Kasi ayokong makasira ng relationship,” Christian said.

It later became apparent that what the actor learned was the relationship of Jennica with her now-estranged husband, Alwyn Uytingco.

“So nagbigay-daan ka ganun?” Jolina asked the actor.

“Hindi ako nagbigay-daan kasi wala akong dapat bigyan ng daan kasi nasa kaniya yung daan. So, nilugar ko lang ‘yung sarili ko kahit na gustong-gusto kitang i-text noin,” Christian explained.

“Naalala ko, I even kept on texting you sa Viber. Oo tinry ko. Noong naramdaman ko na ‘A ok… itong taong ‘to, she wants to keep her family happy intact and healthy’,” the actor said.

“So kahit na ako… God as my witness, gusto ko ‘yung pure friendship na mayroon tayo pero kasi— ang hirap naman oo. May tendency kasi na kapag pinagpatuloy ko puwedeng mahulog… pero that was during that time, 2016 way back 2016,” Christian revealed.
