Pia Wurtzbach, in an interview by famous Emirati entrepreneur-mentor, Anas Bukhash, opened up about her relationship with her father.

She indicated that all she wanted to do was show her father that she was also worthy of his love and respect.

The beauty queen revealed this might have become her motivation to strive so she would be able to show her dad just that.

“Was that subconciously or consciously, an attempt for you to tell your dad ‘look at what you've missed, look at how special your daughter is, and I'm worthy of your attention,’” Anas asked, referring to how hard Pia worked to get to the top.

“Yes.I think so, if I'm gonna be honest, I think so. Not on purpose though. Subconsciously I think that I was proving to him that I was worthy of love and respect,” Pia answered.
“Did you ever talk to him when you were trying to call him, did you actually call and he picked up,” Anas again asked.

Pia then said that at the time, her relationship with her dad had become weird as he kept on asking her for things.

The beauty queen then said that his actions had begun to hurt her.

“Yeah. There were a few times where he did and it was weird because he just kept asking me for things, which was hurtful as it kept going on and on,” the beauty queen said.
“I want to reconnect. I want my dad to ask me how I'm doing. I want him to ask me if I'm okay. I'm trying to reconnect with him as a daughter and it hurt me that it didn't feel like that. It felt more like ‘what can you provide for me kind of thing’,” Pia said.

Pia Wurtzbach is a Filipino-German actress, model, and Miss Universe 2015 titleholder. She is one of the four Filipinas to earn the title. She is now married to travel entrepreneur Jeremy Jauncey. They had their wedding in Seychelles.

In the same interview, the beauty queen also admitted that she too wanted to have children in the future but not now at this point in her career. The beauty queen was the featured guest of the businessman-mentor in his online show, ABTalks, where they discussed a variety of topics from Pia’s childhood to her present career. During the interview, Anas asked Pia if she had ever wanted to have children and the beauty queen thanked him for asking the question. She then answered the query of Anas and explained why she had such an outlook in life as regards children and motherhood.

In a previous post about a new social media app, Pia shared what she referred to as her worst experience on a different socmed platform. It can be recalled that the beauty queen is very active on various social media websites, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. According to the former Ms. Universe queen, it is on one of these sites that she encountered a very unpleasant experience, which traumatized her. The beauty queen expressed hopes for the new social media app that she tried out just now, wishing that it will be troll-free.
